5 years to 2030: Are current climate commitments doomed?

09:00 - 09:30
In line with the Paris Agreement, to limit global warming to 1.5°C, emissions must peak before 2025 and decline 43% by 2030. With only 5 years to 2030, the action to achieve those goals is needed right now. It’s time to ask the difficult questions.

  • With leaders tiptoeing targets and laggards far behind, are we actually on a path to 1.5? 2? Worse?
  • When the low hanging fruit is all plucked, are the brands able to keep on track?
  • Where do we go from here? Do we need to rethink ambition and accountability on climate?
