Despite an apparent surge in pro-sustainability sentiment, a 2023 UK study by Deloitte showed how consumers are unwilling or unable to adopt more sustainable lifestyles for reasons ranging from cost (61%), to lack of information (50%) or of interest in sustainability (61%).
This session will assess how consumer demand both drives and limits the effectiveness of packaging solutions. Our panel will provide insights on best (and failed) practices for engaging consumers in innovation, alternative retail models and sustainable packaging solutions. We’ll address:
The role of marketing in nudging consumers towards – or away from – sustainable alternatives
How to integrate behavioural science into decision making and consumer engagement
How can business communicate about sustainable packaging in a clear, transparent and credible way to consumers?
